"Adopt-a-Sidewalk"

In December 2024 I unofficially adopted a stretch of sidewalk by my house. It had been taken over by invasive species and the accumulation of debris left this stretch of sidewalk difficult to navigate and unappealing.

After cleaning up one small bed December 2024, the effort has grown to include a larger section. With the help of Emily, my husband Gene, and the City of Newberg, we have made great progress removing the unwanted plants and litter. The next step is to start planting pollinator friendly gardens in these areas with mostly native plants.
